Western scientists first became involved in hypnosis around 1770, when Franz Mesmer (1734–1815), a physician from Austria, started investigating an effect he called "animal magnetism" or "mesmerism" (the latter name still remaining popular today).

Can anybody be hypnotized?.....

Yes almost every person can be hypnotized to some degree, as long as they have normal cognitive function hypnosis is possible. But the depth of the hypnotic state is different from person to person.

Can i get stuck in hypnosis?.....

No is the answer and the reason for this is because hypnosis is perfectly natural,

a good example of this would be if you are driving your car not thinking about working the controls like the steering wheel the gear stick etc you can day dream and as if you are in autopilot!! that is a form of hypnosis a focus of mind!!

Will you be able to control my mind?....

No despite popular belief hypnosis is not mind control, in fact, you have the same morals in your hypnotic state than you do in your awakened state.

basically, if you're not the kind of person who will jump up to take off all your clothes and scream I love Peppa pig whilst doing the Gangnam style dance in an awakened state then you wouldn't do it in a hypnotic state either!

id like to add I have never done that act in any of my shows!!! (funny as it may sound)

Will i remember my hypnotic experience?...

Statistically around 70% of people remember there hypnotic experience and around 30% don't recall or completely forget everything.

The best way to understand hypnosis is to experience it yourself and feel how amazing it is! ;-)
